Red leather spine label with gilt stamped titles. 1151 pages, with all engraved illustrations present, including frontis. Solid book. 2" crack at bottom of outer front hinge, but front board holding well. Scuffing and chipping to board edges; some small strips of lifting to top layer of leather. Moderate soiling and scattered, minor stains to boards. Spine label is bright. Some edge-chipping and foxing to endpapers, which have light dampstaining at edges. Light dampstaining along outer margins of first half of book; text unaffected. Good. Good.
