Slender folio, bound in full dark brown contemporary calf leather. Newer front and rear endpapers. (x), 388 pages. Nice woodcut historiated and inhabited initial letters throughout. Brown silk ribbon marker. Covers are well-worn and scuffed, with half-inch flaking at spine extremities. Front board detached, but present. Rear board loose, but holding. Text block solid, with some fore-edge dampstaining to last 50 pages (text not affected). Handsomely printed text is nice and bright, with scattered faint foxing. Small ink note on rear blank page. Bookplates of Edward Dalton and Harold E. Matthews on the front pastedown. Good to VG text in a Fair binding. Fair.
