Glossy illustrated paper over boards. Front and rear boards are the same: a color illustration of a boy pushing a girl in a swing. Wonderfully illustrated and hand-lettered by T. Cromwell Lawrence. Printed in an era when it was acceptable to refer to a Japanese boy as a Jap, and a doll of a Chinaman with a long pigtail as 'a real Chinee'. Solid book with bright boards and much edge-scuffing. Small chipping to edges of board illustrations. Moderate soiling to boards. Small crayon numeral on rear pastedown. Text is bright and clean, with vertical creasing to 2 pages. Hard-to-find. Good. Good.
