Lettering totally faded from spine, light on front board; wear to spine ends, corners and board edges, foxing of endpapers; page edges toned. Prior owners' names on front paste-down: "Midshipman J. Allen Anderson," and "W. P. Willis, Jr., 832." Binding and hinges sound, text block clean. Editions published before 1940 are scarce.
