It is a comprehensive study of both oceans, including hydrology, meteorology, biology, geomophology, topography, animal, fish and bird species habitats and migration paths, maps of major cities and countries on the oceans. The maps are wonderfully detailed. A spectacular, and very rare, publication. Dark blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering and embossed design on front cover. gilt lettering and design on spine. Book has a little bumping of the corners,a little rubbing. no ownership marks, tight binding, clean, bright pages. The dust jacket has chipping along the top and bottom edges, with some loss at spine edges. An very nice copy.
