It is bound in dark blue cloth with gilt printing on the spine; straight and tight with some wear to edges and corners, two corners are bumped as well as the lower spine end, and there is some rubbing and a few tiny white specks. Previous owner's name, Richard Martin, a prominent early Oklahoma lawyer (book bought from his widow's estate), is written on the front endpage and there are quite a bit of his light pencil underscorings (not obscuring text) marking relevant portions in the first part of the book. Contents include a general bibliography and chapters about the Anglo-Saxon Age to the Recent Years. 8-3/4" x 5-3/4" inches; 518 pages. VG/NONE.
