London: Thomas Tegg, 1830-1831. Tall octavo, two volumes, 636 pp, text illustrations. Early binder's quarter cloth and papered boards, a fine set. Volume one: Quadrupeds; volume two: Birds published by John Sharpe. The Zoological society (of London) was founded in 1826 and this is the first publication on the zoo's inhabitants.
