Amstelodami (Amsterdam), ex typographia Blaviana, 1683, in-8vo, 805 p., illustrated with 16 copper engravings (by I Mulder fec. 1683) (frontispice-title and 15 full page figures each one heading one of the 15 books) + 10 p. (index), slight browning of the paper in places, no free fly endpapers, hw. former owner's name below the frontispice-title 'Leopold Comte ... à la Haye ce ... mars 1710', idem on the printed title, with inscription that has partly faded because of waterstaining (both leaves partly loosened) , boards covered with contemporary paper with religious partition printed in red and black (Graduale), title on spine. Fine copy. ¶ From the second edition of Ovid's 'Opera' in 3 volumes, as published by Heinsius and Cnipping, accompanied with a good selection of notes by the most estimated commentators. Clear prints of all 16 finely engraved copperplates by the well known dutch bookartist Joseph Mulder (1659-1718) (some plates with sign.) illustrating this17th century Dutch edition of Ovid's Latin 'Methamorphose'.
