Rand haupts. in den ersten Bl., vereinzelt sehr leicht gebräunt, hs. Hendrik Smet, geboren in Antwerpen, liess sich als Calvinist in Deutschland nieder. U.a. ab 1585 war er Arzt der prakt. Medizin in Heidelberg. 'Sein Verdienst ist die 1593 durchgeführte Anlage eines der ersten botanischen Gärten Deutschlands in Heidelberg.
