Count RAZUMOVSKII (RAZOUMOWSKY), (Grigorii Kirillovic) of polish origine, lived in Lausanne, Switzerland from 1780 till the french revolution. First and only edition of an illustrated account of the economics, fauna and geology of the Swiss Jura, in the vicinity of Neuchâtel, Murten and Biel, northwest of Bern, by Count Grigorii Kirillovic Razumovskii (1759-1837). The first volume describes the fauna according to the Linnean system. The second includes a geological description with notes on mining, minerals, fossils etc. The illustrations cover zoology (especially reptiles), entomology and geology (including fossils).
