First and only edition of this volume of American Confederate Civil War poetry - photographic portrait frontis, coloured Confederate Civil War Flag on title page & dedication page - 146 pages, 214 verses of mainly rhyming couplets, 8 or 9 line verses, divided by theme & subject, with mainly a nostalgic elegiac tone for the loss of Southern values & lifestyle & the possibility of the rise of a New South - gray cloth decorated with crossed gilt flags, Confederate flag above the 13 Star Union flag - covers a bit marked, but still a vg bright copy of a rare book. Very Good.
