[Mexico City, November 19, 1846]. First edition. 13 pp. Wraps. with title on front. A decree by Commander-in-chief Salas, conveyed by Gov. Olaquibel of the state of Mexico, requiring the Mexican clergy to make a forced loan of 2 million pesos for the war effort. For the Federal District (Mexico City), the decree names the individuals and the amounts they are required to contribute. Makes mention of the difficulties in the Californias, New Mexico and Chihuahua. GARRETT, p. 85.
