TETON FORTIFICATIONS.
Engraved map, 8 1/2 x 5 inches on sheet 12 x 9 1/8. A map from the Pacific Railroad Survey, 1857, based on the Lewis and Clark expedition. Depicts a bend in the Missouri River in Dakota Territory with Bon Homme Island on the left. Redoubts and walls discovered by Lewis and Clark and thought by them to be ancient earthworks made by the Indians are shown on the island and one side of the river.
