Kansas City, 1895. Map 6 1/8 x 7 3/4 inches on sheet 11 x 8 1/4. Shows route to Ft. Scott, Memphis and Birmingham, with all points in between. Text at top begins: "The only direct route between the south and west. The tourist's route south. The emigrants route from the South to the West and Northwest." On verso is brief typed letter SIGNED by Passenger Agent J. E. Lockwood, dated Aug. 29, 1895. Type of letter has bled through to be visible on map, else very good, with creases from folding. Plus original envelope in which it was sent.
