Novel by Whitlock followed by many short pieces on other topics. Novel based on the life of the Mexican healer Teresita Urrea, the Santa of Cabora, Sonora. In this romantic fantasy a young American from Arizona falls in love with her and gets embroiled in the Yaqui Indian rebellion. In actual life Teresita Urrea was embraced as a saint by rebellious Yaquis and Mayos in the 1880s-1890s and was exiled to Arizona where she died in 1906. Very scarce.
