Minor spotting to cover, very light stain in margins of last pp., else fine and bright. Lowman, PRINTER AT THE PASS 2a: "This was the first book in which Carl Hertzog's name appeared as the typographer. This small volume has a spirit that fits the subject. It combines good paper and a sensitive feel for type. In short a remarkable accomplishment for a young man of 22, especially in light of the time and place of publication." This is the rare Deluxe edition of 275 signed copies on Old Stratford paper. DYKES BILLY THE KID 95: "Rare. Includes 'Uncle John -- a Narrative," a long poem about John Selman...the limited editrion is very difficult to find" (in 1952!).
