NABOKOV, VLADIMIR. Nine Stories.
New York, New Directions (Juliar A25.1), 1947, First edition. Paperback. A collection of his finest short stories, three originally written in Russian, one in French, and five in English. A fragile volume published as no. 2 in what was a short-lived quarterly. The Alvin Lustig designed aquamarine cover is unevenly darkened, the spine entirely with horizontal creases and a top piece loose. The yapped edges are chipped with a couple of pieces missing. The interior is fine. .
