Leipzig Und Wien: Franz Deuticke, 1899. First Edition. Hardcover. Large Octavo 328pp. Hajek's famous work on nasal sinuses. Laid in are four hand-coloured illustrated cards from the Klinik Hajek, as stated at top of each card: the first "Oesophagus" illustrated by J. Wessler, and dated 1921; the second "Tracheobronchoscopy", illustrated by Alfons Schandl; the third "Endoscopic view of the normal Oesophagus", illustrated by A. Schandl; and lastly "4 Stages of the Laryngoscopy", the illustrator not identified. Front endpaper not present, and with former owner's bookplate to front pastedown, but inherently fine within, in somewhat edge-rubbed quarter-leather and cloth-covered boards, the front board starting to loosen a little at spine, though holding. A scarce Franz Deuticke publication, and quite novel with the Klinik Hajek cards.. Very Good .
