Rebound in modern hardcover (green cloth, gilt lettered on spine, orig. front cover mounted on the cover). 8vo. - Plate number 18 is not present (replaced by a copy). Unfortunately, the folding plate had the two outer parts of the plate cut off during rebinding when the book block was trimmed. Two very small strips are missing (approx. 4/5 mm), the rest of the plate is present.Rare catalogue of Greek and Roman antiquities in the collection of Hugh Archibald Wyndham, 4th Baron Leconfield (4 October 1877 - 6 July 1963). The illustrated catalogue, with descriptions of 86 objects, was privatly published by the Medici Society in a limited edition of 200 numbered copies (no. 43). Hugh Archibald Wyndham was the epitome of a nineteenth century English country gentleman. He succeeded his elder brother as fourth Baron Leconfield in 1952. He was the historian of the Wyndham family and a politician and author.
