Los Angeles, California, Ed Ruscha, 1970, First Edition, Second Printing . SOFTCOVER ORIGINAL. Ruscha's famous , self-published, continuous, accordion fold concept artist book . Ruscha mounted a motorized 35mm camera onto a car and drove down one side of The Boulevard and up the other, taking photographs of, well, every building on the Sunset Strip. Measures approximately 5 1/4" by 7 1/4". At the top of each page is one side of the street; turn the book upside down and there's the other side! Soft cover original in white matt wrappers in a silver-foil covered slipcase. CONDITION BOOK: Book itself has a bit of yellowish glue-residue along edge and a bit to the spine (consistent with other copies of this title). One might guess that these self-published books were placed into their slipcases before the slipcase glue was fully dried. One crease to spine. CONDITION SLIPCASE: A bit of shelf-wear to fully-intact slipcase, with a 4" and a 1" (moveable) bubble-crease to silver-foil. Very clean, tight copy. of this rarity at an affordable price., NEAR FINE .
