The jackets have been laminated and have very light wear but for the Fellowship which has a tear in the middle of the spine. The Slipcase is solid and very lightly worn. Overall a very handsome set in excellent condition/ NF/VG Â ¶ The handsome BOMC issue, identical to the trade but for lack of jacket price and the blind stamp. This is the Revised edition ; Fellowship of the Ring is a 4th printing, the other volumes are third printings. Maps present in all three volumes. Bound in black cloth with a Tolkienesque vignette on the front cover, each in a different colour to match the jacket. The American issue of this time was, in our opinion, much more attractive than the British.
