. Ill.: Leslie E. Spatt. A beautiful original black and white 8 X 10 photograph of the two Principals (and SIGNED by them), taken by the greatest ballet photographer of all times, Leslie E. Spatt, while they were performing one of Sir Frederick Ashton's productions (late 1960's/early 1970's). Margaret Barbieri was a Principal with The Royal Ballet and one of Ashton's favourite dancers; Kelly became later particularly known for his interpretation of Ballanchine's ballets. Collectable photograph, SIGNED by both dancers. Would look particularly attractive framed.

FRANK S. SMYTHE  My Alpine Album
London, Adam & Charles Black. 1940, First Edition. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. The famous mountaineer is not only a very good writer; he is also a superb photographer. This is the author's fourth mountain photographs book and includes 47 photographs. All the pictures were taken by him in the Swiss and Austrian mountains, and although it contains less pictures than in his previous books, there is considerably more text. The book includes a delightful essay, "The Alpine Year". There is some light wear and tear to the dustjacket, but it is otherwise a VG copy. Very Good/Very Good.
