The first one is about Marriage and includes much advice including on errors in marriage, infidelity, eccentricities of nature etc. The Master-Piece itself deals with the womb in detail. The second part of this book is a Guide to Child-Bearing Women meant for the general public as well as for midwives. Included are plates of child in uterus (not always very accurate). Light fading to cover and some spots. Tight and clean inside, with previous owner name and date (1887) on free endpaper. Light shelf wear to spine but book tight. Very Good.

N.Y. The John Day Company. 1958, First Edition. Hard Cover with dust jacket, 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hard Cover, SIGNED and INSCRIBED to a friend (a fellow psychiatrist) by the author. The author calls psychiatry "the retarded child of medicine". He was a very well respected doctor and surgeon, with a broad practice on several continents. The author's thesis is that every function of the human body has an underlying structure. If the brain or nervous system fucntion badly, we should look for a structural explanation, and not content ouselves with psychiatric metaphysics.The dustjacket is worn but the book is tight and clean and very good. Very Good/Good. Signed by Author.
