VLADIMIR BRUNOVSKY  The Methods of the OGPU
London, Harper. 1931, First Edition. Red Cloth, 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. The author participated in the Russian Revolution but in 1920 he severed connections with the Bolsheviks. This book is his memoirs of his last four years in Russia and in particular the role played by the OGPU, The Unified State Political Administration. He was arrested for his views and spent time in prison. In 1923 he made up his mind to leave the USSR and was arrested again. This is a griping first hand account of difficult and terrifying times.
