" Flyleafs, frontispiece and first title page, which is illustrated, are age darkened. Pages 32, 33 are lightly damp stained, as are pages 206, 207, else contents are clean. This book is over 150 years old, yet the front and back covers are still shiny and the gold on the spine and edges is still bright. ; Full dark brown leather FINE BINDING over extra-heavy beveled boards.. Five raised spine bands. Bright gold spine lettering. Extensive, very fancy designs embossed on front and back covers and spine. All edges are not only still bright gilt, but the gold has designs pressed into it on all three edges. Marbled endpapers. Frontispiece and title page illustrations by "T. Brown sc Edin. ' " . Illustrations, which face each other, are protected by a tissue guard. NATURE.
