This is a book from an ex-lending library and shows all the faults of same. Heavy bumping and rubbing to the head and to the heel of the backstrip and to the book corners. Heavy staining and handling marks to the cloth of the boards. The spine is cocked. Darkening of the backstrip and the letter 'F' has been placed to the lower edge of the backstrip, in white marker pen. Heavy browning and foxing to the text of edges. Browning and foxing to the endpapers and to the internal text which also shows handling marks. A previous owner has placed their name, the date Nov. 45 and the number 82 to the top edge of the front paste-down. There are also two dates stamped from being taken out of the library on the front paste-down. There is an erasure mark to the top right-hand corner of the free front and paper and the date 1939 to the middle portion of the same page. There is a stamp to the verso of the last page of the book and the number 671 to the top left-hand corner of the rear paste-down. A book set in the pine forests of America and what it means to be a ranger within those great forests and of what all ranges fear -- forest fire. Illustrated with many lurid decorations featuring buxom wenches, outrageous behaviours, dastardly niggers, crimes aplenty, red brutes etc. The binding of the book is sound except for some insect damage to the top edge of the front board and the dust jacket on the rear panel has 8 to inch tear with associated creasing at the bottom right-hand corner and a 3 inch tear at the top right with a 1.5 inch tear at the top left and associated creasing. Comic, 36pp. A book of black-and-white cartoons featuring "Little Annie Rooney". The book is broken into two sections one in French the other in English. Black-and-white illustration on the front cover showing Little Annie Rooney and the dog Zero and she is saying "Gee, Zero I gotta hurry and get fixed up as nice as I kin 'cause you an'me have gotta look good to-day" with white background with black writing on the front panel. Book corners are bumped and scuffed as are the head and the heel of the spine. There is a 2 " split on the bottom spine edge. There is creasing, sun damage and grubby marks to the book panels. On the top right-hand corner of the front panel the remains of stickers can be seen. This book of cartoons is split into two sections. From page 1 through to page 23, the cartoons are in French and from page 25 through to page 30 the cartoons are in English. At the rear of the book there is another small section "Les Adventures de JoJo. Titre Original Ming Foo. The authors/illustrators of this book are Brandon Walsh and A. Fonsky.
