The limiatation is 175 and this is No. 59. Contains one signed and numbered etching by the artist. It is inscribed and signed on the colophon page as follows: "Albert Seltzer with the best wishes of Leonard Baskin." Illustrated and designed by Leonard Baskin. 14 1/4 x 9 3/4. Bound in 1/4 dark green leather with brown paper-covered boards. Large oval grean leather label in middle of front board with gilt-stamped title in Hebrew and English. Gilt-stamped English title on spine. Text in English front and Hebrew. A very tiny rub at head of spine, else the book is fine in the publisher's slip case which is also fine. A very difficult book to find. The five scrolls that are included in the book are: Ecclesiastes, Esther, Song of Songs, Ruth and Lamentations. 	MATTHEW, MARK, LUKE AND JOHN, The Gospels. Norwalk, CT:, The Easton Press,, (1996). Collector's Edition. Color frontis. reproduction of illuminated pages from the Nekesei-Lipocz Bible (circa 1342) printed on vellum. 9 1/4 x 6 1/2. Bound in full black leather, with elaborate gilt-stamped decorations on the covers including a cross on the front cover. Three raised spine bands with gold decorations and title. Dark gold moire end papers and a bound-in silk book mark. All edges are gilt. A spectacular morocco binding, as only the Easton Press can do. Fine condition with a laid-in Easton Press book plate (not attached). As with most Easton Press books, this was probably never opened until we did so to catalog it and it certainly has never been read. This is the scarcest of the titles in the religious series done by Easton.
