Quarter bound in vellum with green cloth boards, gilt titling to the spine and a gilt and coloured crest in centre of upper board; corners of boards slightly bumped. Top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed. Internally this volume is exceptional - very clean, bright and tightly bound. pp xxxvii + 181 + advert. 17 coloured full page, tissue-guarded plates. 44 plates in photogravure plus illustrations within the text. A truly beautiful, impressive publication. Very Good.

Cream cloth boards with gilt titling and elaborate gilt decoration to spine and upper board; top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed; illustrations to end papers, monochrome illustrations throughout the text and 36 coloured plates with captioned tissue guards (collated). pp370. Upper board is bright and generally clean, spine is slightly sunned and there is speckled discolouration of the lower board. There is one very small area of damage to spine - possible a puncture mark by a pencil. Contents are tightly bound, clean and bright. A neat inscription on the half title page is dated Christmas 1915. This is a lovely copy. Very Good.

Red cloth boards with gilt titling and gilt illustration of 'Roebuck and Hound..from Marble Figure in the Vatican Collection' to upper board. Top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed. Contains four coloured illustrations - 1. Frontispiece 'The Roe Hunt' by Paul de Vos. 2. 'The Chase of the Roebuck' by W P Hodges. 3. 'The New Forest Deerhounds' by L Kemp Welch. 4. The Death of the Roebuck by W P Hodges. Binding is generally good, the gilt tiling and illustration are faded but legible. End papers, front and rear are foxed; there is minor foxing to title page, confined to inner margin; foxing has crept to frontispiece affect lower margin only. Otherwise contents are very clean with just very occasional spotting. pp189 inc index; Alphabetical List of Subscribers to rear. Overall this is a lovely clean copy. Very Good.
