Cloth. 352pp - A story of the vast Southern plantation, Fairoaks, and four generationsof angry men and loyal women who were willing to make any sacrifice forits possession. "A blazing historical novel of a feuding southern family". The novel centers around a character named "Guy Falks" (no, not that one) who, because his uncle had cheated his father of Fairoaks, their ancestral plantation, and because the duel in which his father was killed had been rigged, was set on revenge, and lots of it. Standard CBC cover style in slightly soiled orange cloth with gilt titles in a red oval to the faded and soiled spine. Textblock is immaculate, except for soiling of page edges. Very Good.
