There have to be almost more copies of this book on the Net than any other, But this one is in VG+ condition with blue cloth covers with gilt titles to the spine. The book is immaculate except for a gift inscription dated 1955 on FEP. DJ (Now in protective sleeve) is also in VG+ condition except for a but if edgewear at the top and it is NOT price-clipped. Throw Out Two Hands is the record of an expedition: to explore Africa by balloon. Smith and crew went to observe the wildlife unnoticed. Smith, who studied Zoology at Oxford, was, at the time of writing this book, science correspondent for The Daily Telegraphy. Before that he'd worked for The Manchester Guardian and had been an editor with The Drum (Africa's then top-selling illustrated magazine). He had also written three travel books. Since then he has written several notable science books, including The Body which more than 800.000 copies worldwide. Smith worked extensively in both television and radio, wrote for several natural history programmes and presented TV series such as Tomorrow's World. A keen traveller and explorer.
