DUCK-HYUN, CHO  Cho Duck-Hyun: Genealogy: On My Father
Kukje Gallery. 1996, First Edition. Folded Wraps. 70-page catalogue for an exhibition held September 11-25, 1996. All plates in color (where there was color--what he's done with wedding portraits is especially interesting). Fascinating look at the artist's approach to "genealogy": particularly stunning is an installation in which infant photographs are placed in paper boxes lined with fabric and lit from above, so that there are day- and night-time versions. In another take on the same installation, the boxes are standing up and lit from in front, and there is a live baby boy standing amidst them. Pow. Near-Fine in folded wraps as issued: the colophon (last) page is creased. Near-Fine/Issued Without Jacket.
