Founded in 1935, Geographical (formerly The Geographical Magazine) is the magazine of the Royal Geographical Society with the Institute of British Geographers. The magazine is published monthly, and contains illustrated articles on people, places, adventure, travel, and environmental issues, as well as the latest academic research and discoveries in geography. Each volume is highly illustrated with photographs and maps, many of which are in colour. Edited by Michael Huxley, an English diplomatist and editor. This set includes: Volume I, Nos. 1 - 6, May - October 1935. With articles on: our Stone-Age Contemporaries, Pilgrim to Mecca, Flying to India, Across the Greenland Ice-Cap, the German Universities, and a Turtle Hunt in the Solomon Islands. Volume V, Nos. 1 - 6, May - October 1937. With articles on: The National Trust, Stones of Angkor, a Festival in Yugoslavia, the Dead Cities of Ceylon, Australia's Flying Foxes, and the Yami of Koto-Sho. In the original green cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with a few pencil annotations.
