R. W. FORSYTH LTD (PREFACE)  Scottish Rugby Memories - A Souvenir Book of Scottish International Rugby Matches Limited Edition Containing the Programmes of Rugby Football Internationals from 1934 to 1939 with 1939 to 1945 Roll of Honour of Scottish Internationalists
Edinburgh, Limited Editions. 1945, First Edition. Hard Cover, 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Very rare piece of memorabilia, condition very good to near fine. The Roll of Honour of Scottish Internationalists lost in WWII contains the likes of Eric Liddell. It also contains the programmes for 19 home Internations 1934 to 1939 plus photographs of the teams in 18 cases. A book of Scottish Rugby Memories, this is a very different game with Edinburgh and Borders teams dominating until 1939 when the approach of war is signified by the regimental players. Edinburgh and its private schools are omnipresent and for all such burghers out there this is a piece of recent history, a relative lost in the war or even just school uniforms bought in Forsyths (now defunct). Very Good.
