NYU Press, 1992. (ISBN: 0814711804) Paperback , 8.2 x 5.4 x 0.4 inches. Djuna Barnes must have had great fun writing and illustrating this book. BRAM, CHRISTOPHER  In Memory of Angel Clare: A Novel
Plume Books, 1990. (ISBN: 0452264340) Paperback , 1.0 x 5.5 x 8.0 inches. From Publishers Weekly Though he might have minced about it, Henry James would have been delighted by the situation presented here. Bram ( Hold Tight ) depicts a circle of friends of a dead filmmaker chafing at the responsibility of consoling his very young lover. With the exception of a middle-aged married couple, the characters are gay and out of the closet, and perhaps this accounts for the concern they feel, one year after the death of their friend, in trying to save the boy from his excessive, unresolved mourning.
