Tight hinges and clean throughout with the exception of light dampstaining to the bottom corners of pp. 1-12, including the bottom corner of the half-title page. A touch of the green cloth color has leeched onto the edges of those pages as well. In a heavily edge-worn and chipped dustjacket with the original price of $6.95 at the top of the inside front flap and "10/57" at the bottom. Heavy chipping to the top edges with some small pieces missing from the top of the spine ends of the jacket. Wear to the bottom edge and there is a small abraded area around Ayn Rand's right shoulder in the photo on the rear panel.
