And from Ernie, too, to whom I owe a great deal and can never forget his many kindnesses when I came to Lawrenceville as green as can be. No, I haven't met General Pershing, but I met his sister a number of times. His recovery is supposed to be a great triumph for modern medicine; and Dr. Davison's reputation has been even further enhanced! "I'm having you sent a copy of Our Town. I'm very happy that you know my earlier plays so well, and I hope this one doesn't disappoint you. And it's an extra pleasure to think of its being read at Wolfboro. "All my best to you, and my regard to my "reader" Mrs. Guthrey. "Sincerely yours, Thornton." VG/VG in brown woven cloth with paste-downs on the front panel and the spine. With some leeching of the color to the brown cloth along the spine which is faded and the front and rear panels which are mottled.
