Additionally signed in black ink "Paul Child" which he has underscored beneath Julia's signature. NF/VG+ in clean pictorial laminated boards stamped in brown, blue, and white. Very clean and tight with no marks or writing other than the inscriptions by Julia Child and Paul Child. In a white, price-clipped, lightly soiled dustjacket with two tiny closed tears. A very handsome copy of this presentation book signed by the endearing duo.

Pennington's illustrations depict Creole life from a nurse feeding a baby to an old French chef selling mustard in New Orleans. G+ in worn paper-covered boards decorated with plates on a shelf (1903) and title in light blue ink, French title stamped in black. Plain, darkened linen spine is frayed at bottom and top. Corners worn and bumped. Name and address in ink on the front endpaper. Internally VG, clean, and tight.
