A book presenting brief discussions on new invention and innovations in science, light, electricity, agriculture etc. Also included are the proceedings of the Photographical Section of the American Institute, from 1869, a brief look at horology from past ages, telegraph wire, photography, etc. There are a few illustrations including two of lunar landscapes. It is in GOOD condition with some scuffing, fading and minor soiling to the covers. The corners are bumped and frayed with minor loss of cloth. The spine is pulled and frayed at the head and foot with minor loss, as well as a small rectangular piece of cloth missing from the center of the backstrip. The text block is solid with minor sporadic soiling and foxing throughout. The pages are somewhat browned. There are pencil check marks next to several passages, as well as vertical pencil lines in the margins next to several passages as well. Overall its a solid book in GOOD condition. Good/No Jacket.
