London, Printed only for John Beecroft, 1771. Leather. Full leather. Xxi, 471 pp. MISSING all contents pages after page 471. Somewhat recently attributed to Richard Allestree, The Whole Duty of Man was first published in 1658, anonymously, expounded on Anglican traditions, in a Protestant devotional form. The name Mary Woolridge is handwritten on the decorative half-title, with the date July 10, 1775. FAIR condition, LACKING the aforementioned contents pages at the end. Heavy scuffing, chipping, and flaking to the leather, with the leather split and peeling along the spine hinges. This includes some minor loss of leather, exposing the boards beneath. Scattered dampstaining and spotting to the text, with a few larger dampstains in the fore edge margins. Minor scattered soiling. Fair .
