A classic fantasy novel. GOOD jacket and book. Jacket protected by mylar. Minor scuffing. HEAVY edgewear with several chips and moderate sized tears, with some creasing present in those areas. Minor triangular loss of jacket to the upper front, small loss near binding foot, a one inch tear along upper hinge, a jagged ½ to 1 inch piece of jacket missing along the foot of the spine, a ¼ by 2 inch piece missing from upper rear edge, a 3 inch jagged tear present along lower rear hinge, with a two inch tear present at the upper rear hinge. The book is has minor scuffing and soiling with general fading to the covers. Spine faded. Extremities rubbed and faded. Remainder mark on lower page edges. Hinges weak but binding solid. Binding cracked at the frontispiece/title page but still intact. Text clean with some darkening to the text. Still a solid copy in GOOD condition. First US printing. Good/Good.
