LILIENTHAL, ALFRED M.  What Price Israel? (Inscribed Copy)
Beirut, Institute for Palestine Studies, 1969. Cloth with dust jacket, 8vo - 7¾" - 9¾" Tall. The book is extremely tight and clean on the outside, with sharp corners and no bumps. The book was never printed with a blank, so the first page is the half-title page, which has been lightly discolored in a rectangular area, probably by a newspaper clipping that was laid to rest there for a little while. The book was also signed by the author on the half title page, "With All Best Wishes, Cordially, Alfred M. Lilienthal". The signature is fading because the ink used was unsuitable, but is still clearly legible. A former owner signed the inside front cover at the top corner, the entirety of which is covered by the front flap of the dustjacket. There is a stamp on the title page from the library of the owner that marked the front cover. On the copyright page the copyright line itself has for some reason been marked out with a marker, but that line is the only mark of its kind in the whole book. The text and pages are immaculate, and the book is very clean, as if it had only been read once. The jacket is extremely tight and clean as well. Very little soiling, with no marks or defects on the flaps, which have no price. The bottom of the front cover has one light crease involving an 1/8" tear, the only one of its kind. The top and bottom of the spine show a hint of wear and rubbing, but that is the extent of the defects to the jacket. A beautiful book in a very tight, clean copy of the book. Reprinted from the 1953 edition published by the Henry Regnery Company. This is no. 4 in the series of reprints by the Institute for Palestine Studies. Near Fine/Near Fine Plus. Inscribed By Author.

RANKIN, CLAIRE  The Tall Voyagers
Los Angeles, CA, The Ward Ritchie Press, 1965. Cloth , 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. No edition stated on the copyright page. Possible first edition. No dj, but the book is in very good condition, the inside is especially clean and the spine is tight. Very light shelf wear on the cover; moderately sharp corners. The first page is inscribed by Captain Barney Burnett, about whom the book was written. The inscription was made Saturday, Dec. 21st, 1968, and it states "This book"- The Tall Voyagers- "I autograph with pleasure for folks who admire men of the sea. The contents contain a life I challenge any man to doubt. We are disappearing like civil war verterans, men of sailing ships. I can also state that I Barney was skipper for T.D.
