Londra (London), Presso Riccardo Bancker. 1791. 8vo, white vellum, red labels, gilt lettering on spine, Nine volumes containing 28 "novelle" in four parts 1791-1793, with engraved frontispiece portrait of Bandello from a drawing by Ang. Emilio Lapi. Dedication "al Signore Giorgio Mathew, cultissimo cavaliere inglese", followed by "Vita de Matteo Bandello, scritta dal Conte Giammaria Mazzuchelli." A fine set of the "Novelle" written in the mid-sixteenth century.and owing much to old French "fabliaux" and the "Decameron." They had a strong influence on Elizabethan drama.
