Emilio Lapi. Dedication "al Signore Giorgio Mathew, cultissimo cavaliere inglese", followed by "Vita de Matteo Bandello, scritta dal Conte Giammaria Mazzuchelli." A fine set of the "Novelle" written in the mid-sixteenth century.and owing much to old French "fabliaux" and the "Decameron." They had a strong influence on Elizabethan drama.
