Published by William Little, London, 1851. 634 pages, issue Numbers 463 to 497, includes The Great Exhibition Building in Hyde Park, manufacture of Gun-Barrels at Birmingham, the Ascent of Mont Blanc, Sketches in New Zealand, 'St. Valentine's Day' by Richard Doyle, supplements, Sketches in Kaffraria and the Kaffir War, Sketches in India, and more, First Edition, splits to upper and lower front joint, spine ends scuffed, edges rubbed, some light marks to cloth, large folding plate at front is torn into 4 pieces but very little loss, 1 page loose near front and with edge tears, many pages lightly tanned or stained at margins, in good condition, dark green cloth with gilt titles and illustration to front and spine, blindstamped borders to front and rear, 41 x 29 cm approx.
