Copy no' 9 of 50 copies edition. The iscription by previous owner suggests that this is the original edition. Pages are unevenly cut & some pages haven't been separated either on their top or side edges (or both). Dust Jacket made of white-transparent cellophane paper. ALFRED DE MUSSET (1810-1857) - French Romantic poet and playwright, remembered for his poetry. A love affair with the novelist George Sand between the years 1833 and 1835 inspired some of Musset's finest lyrics. Much influenced by Shakespeare and Schiller, Alfred de Musset wrote the first modern dramas in the French language. CONDITION: Very Good- minor foxing only on side edges of some pages.
