First Edition. x, 357, [i]pp, frontis, 32 pages of monochrome illustrations from photographs, several text illustrations and document facsimiles, 3 appendices (The Beatles Songs, Business Activities, About the Author). Tall 8vo/23.5cm. Black cloth with embossed signatures of four Beatles, light wear, in price clipped slightly edgeworn dj with small hole front joint, lined out inscription on ffep, edges lightly foxed, otherwise clean, tight and very good. Many of the photographs were taken by Ringo Starr. The appendices gives the details of every Beatle recording session and the full extent of their financial interests. Hunter Davies (1936- ) is a prolific British author, journalist and broadcaster best known for his books about the Beatles.

A miniature book by international standards (4 inches or less) though the American standard is usually three inches (ca 8cm) or less. Embossed red cloth, gilt faded, surface slightly rubbed with 2 3/4 x 1/8 inch light stain across rear board, previous owner name (Eleanor Tracy) with date 1901 in light pencil on ffep, otherwise internally fine. Francis Edwards (1872- ) wrote several other books including a biography of Wagner.
