Ba Muqaddamah-'i Sa'id Nafisi Tehran, Kanun-i Ma'rifat. 1951. iv, 275pp, many portrait illustrations from photographs, facsimiles. 8vo/22cm. Green blind-stamp decorated cloth gilt, light wear, ink notations on about twenty five pages (mainly translations into English of Farsi words), spine a little weak toward back but otherwise clean and very good. Text in Persian/Farsi. The pencilled title on the endpaper, possibly by the British seller, is slightly different from the LC listing, i.e. "Natter-i- Farsi yi Mu'aser". This book was an assigned text for Professor Anne Lambton's Persian language class at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London University, in the fifties.
