Pauwels graduated with a Masters Degree from MIT in 1964 and was continuing on at MIT in the Ph. D. Program - this report is based on a thesis which was submitted by Pauwels to the Department of Defense which then partially fulfilled the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy. While at MIT Mr. Pauwels worked for the Bell Telephone company and while there is very little information on the author after this time, it appears he continued to work in the field of lasers and electronics / radio transmission and helped co-author several other articles (at least one can be found in the Journal of Quantum Electronics). There are five copies of this report found in Worldcat and currently none on offer to the trade.. Very Good+ .
