Howes lists this 78 page edition published 1792 as the 2nd edition and states, "This attack on the evils of English government is practically a third part of Paine's 'Rights of Man'". Printed wraps, 81 pages, with a map illustrating the scene of the notorious Albany, NY street brawl between Federalists and Jeffersonians. In April 1807, Solomon Van Rensselaer (1774-1853), a Federalist, attacked one of his fiercest critics, Elisha Jenkins (1772-1849), a Jeffersonian, from behind with a walking stick. Jenkins sued Van Rensselaer and was awarded $2,500 in damages. John Tayler, Charles D. Cooper, and Francis Bloodgood joined in the fighting and were sued by Van Rensselaer. Van Rensselaer would go on to serve as a Member of the US House of Representatives from New York, as a Lieutenant Colonel during the War of 1812, and as Postmaster of Albany, NY (1822-1839). Elisha Jenkins later became Mayor of Albany (1816-1819). Francis Bloodgood (1775-1840) also served as a Mayor of Albany (1831-1833). John Tayler (1742-1849) served as the Lieutenant Governor of New York (1817-1822) and briefly as acting governor (1817). Charles D. Cooper (1769-1831) was Secretary of State of New York (1817-1818).
