London: Blackie & son, n.d. . H/b, 7" x 4.5", 255 pp. Girls' story. Plain maroon cloth with black titles. Black and white frontis and two further plates by T. Laidler. Very slightly rubbed and bumped. Previous owner's name and address to ffep in fountain pen ink has run, and has slightly stained the endpapers and dw flap. Colour illustrated dw has suffered significant loss to spine with a large chip to front; the dw is also sunned to spine and has been mended with small amonts of now browning tape. A very good copy in poor dw.
