Rocket 86" a 1950s-era collection of pressbooks from National Telefilm Associates presenting / selling 1940s films for televison broadcast. Approx 300 pages, spiral-bound with cardstock cover. Each bound-in pressbook consists of 4 pages (including a fold out), a full-bleed cover still, some suggested news releases and reviews, "Showmanship" tips, stills, a cast list and synopsis, pre-written on-air announcements, teaser slides and a selection of one and two-colum ad mats. Here's some of the text from the explanation page: "The 'Rocket 86' promotion book is designed to help your station get the most for its film dollar..Bound in this book are individual press books for each 'Rocket 86' film. For the local papers there are news releases, highlights, production sidelights and reviews culled from the press. Photos for placement on the TV Pages are available on request.
